He was predeceased by : his parents, George Oakes and Carolyn Oakes; his brothers, Tom and Richard (Dick); and his brother-in-law Ken Hildreth.
He is survived by : his sister Barbara Hildreth; his sisters-in-law, Elaine and Bonnie; and his close friend Linda Snyder. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
