He was predeceased by: his parents, James Jesse Reed and Lillian Mae Reed (Mills); his wife Cora Rebecca Reed (Mills); and his siblings, Alma Grove, Marie Leasure, Shirley Mills, Gloria Truax, Michael Reed and Marvin Reed.
He is survived by: his daughters, Laura Baker (Scott) of Columbia, PA, Cheryl Moore (Allen Beckett) of Clear Spring and Teresa Powers of Martinsburg; his half-sister Eva Burton of Waynesboro; his siblings, Catherine Kreps of Clear Spring, Linda Moats of Williamsport and Ronald "Buzz" Reed of Hancock; his grandchildren, Jessica, Cory, Katlyn, Raven, Sierra and Faith; his great grandchildren, Landyn, Bradyn, Cameron, Gavin, Owen and Brooks; and his stepgrandsons, Cody, Nathan and Matthew.
