She was predeceased by: her parents, George Smith and Johnnie Mae Smith; her husband Colonel Thomas E. Johnson, Sr.; and her siblings, Gwendolyn, Joyce, Lolita and Bobby.
She is survived by: her children, Sherrita Powell (Barry), Rhonda Johnson, Tasha Dorsey (Kevin) and Thomas E. Johnson Jr.; her grandchildren, Kevin Dorsey, Jr., Shelby Powell, Thomas Johnson, III, Michael Johnson, Donovan Powell, Myles Dorsey and Morgan Dorsey; and her sisters, Georgia Smith Gilbert, Rita Robinson, Denise Smith, Hope Smith and Wanda Smith. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family will appreciate donations to the Alzheimer' Association.
