He was predeceased by: his wife Bette Edelen; his parents, Ignatius Edelen Sr. and Marybeth Bowling Edelen; his son Marcus Edelen; and his brothers, Dominic Bowling Edelen and Wallace Nalle Edelen.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Edelen, Deborah Inman and John Bowling; his children-in-law, Kenneth Inman, Kathleen Wyvill Edelen and Caroline Bowling; and his brother Richard Edelen. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
