It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Leonard (Clinton, Maryland), who passed away on September 4, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Martha Lee Lucas (Westry) and Bob Lucas. She is survived by: her aunt Jean; her spouse Johnnie B. Leonard; her children, Brenda J. Leonard Rufus El (Rahn) and Michael Leonard (Addie); her grandchildren, Tariq A. Adl Bey and Shakirah A. Adl Rufus; and her great grandchildren, Eric Giovanni Travers and Eli Xavier Travers. She is also survived by sibling, and leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in her memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, a cause that was dear to her heart.
