He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Sharon Pivec; his children, Robynne Quinn, Heather Pivec, Grant Pivec, Todd Pivec and Courtney Pivec; his grandchildren, Kayleigh Winters, Hunter Quinn, Nolan Quinn, Julia Pivec-Jeffries, Carson Hallett, Brock Pivec, Ava Pivec, Brinkley Pivec, Jack Pivec, Ryleigh Pivec, Emily Pivec, Benjamin Stamp and Chelsea Stamp; and his great grandchild Maverick Winters.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. (1050 York Rd, Towson, MD 21204). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Church of the Nativity (20 E Ridgely Rd, Timonium, MD 21093).

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dave Pivec Patterson High School Scholarship Fund.
