The family announces the passing of Josephine P. Menta (Cockeysville, Maryland) on September 25, 2026. Josephine, born on December 31, 1930, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Russell C. Menta; her child Russell Armstrong (Kaitlyn); her siblings-in-law, Frank and Roberta Menta; and her parents, Nancy Martini and Phillip Martini.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa M. Benson (Matt), Leticia M. Armstrong (William), Mima (Tom) of Heather Nelson, Erin Norton (Michael), Joanne Manzo, Allison O'Brien (Adam), William Armstrong (Colleen), Kelly Kiddy (Trevor) and Christina Armstrong; her grandchildren, Teddy, Benny of Josie, J. J., Jack, Sophie, Brooks, Wellen, Simms, Jane, Auggie, Faye and Orson; and her brother Michael Martini (late Joan). She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley (10 W Padonia Rd, Timonium, MD 21093). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Parish (100 Church Ln, Cockeysville, MD 21030). A committal service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens (200 E Padonia Rd, Timonium, MD 21093).
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made in Josephine's honor to St. Joseph Parish of Cockeysville, Alzheimer's Association, or Gilchrist Hospice.
