It is with sadness that the passing of Gaither Vaughn Gilley of Colora, Maryland is shared. Gaither, born on June 1, 1938, passed away on October 10, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Vaughn Gaither Gilley and Juanita Gilley; his wife Peggy Gilley; his children, Deborah Powers and Jeffrey Gilley; his grandson Craig Gilley; and his siblings, Susie, Nancy, Gerald "Bunk" Gilley and Robert Gilley.

He is survived by: his children, Laura Worrilow (Brian) and Gregory Gilley (Kerstin); his grandchildren, Ashley Dickerson, Brooke Higgins, Nate Worrilow, Joshua Worrilow, Kayla Corey, Jacob Gilley, Alyssa Gilley and Luke Gilley; and his great grandchildren, Aiden, Braden and Zeke. He is also survived by extended family members and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the R. T. Foard Funeral Home (111 S Queen St, Rising Sun, MD 21911). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at the Brookview Cemetery Cemetery.
