She was predeceased by: her husband Sheldon Wengel; her sister Delle Protas; and her parents, Nettie Shapiro and Samuel Shapiro. She is survived by: her children, Steve Sakamoto-Wengel (Joy), Robert Wengel (Gina Formichelli) and Marni Beyer (Jimmy); her sister Susan Levine; her grandchildren, James Sakamoto (Emery), Daniel Sakamoto-Wengel, Brittany Wengel, Stephanie Wengel, Noah Beyer, Nate Beyer, Eli Beyer, Jack Lincoln and Matt Lincoln; and her great grandchildren, Summer Sakamoto and Camden Sakamoto. She is also survived by her family and many close friends.
