We are sad to announce that on January 7, 2026, Philip Soergel of Columbia, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Philip shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Philip farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his father Ray Clare Soergel; his brother Steve Dwight Soergel; and his wife Marcia Willis Soergel. He is survived by: his mother Donna Lee Soergel; his children, Elizabeth Kuhlman (Michael) and William Soergel (Oliver Armstrong); and his sister Paula Elizabeth Soergel (David Kuhn). He is also survived by his aunt, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville (12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at the Linthicum Chapel Cemetery (12155 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029).
