With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Lawrence Hatfield of Columbia, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 4, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Lawrence Hatfield and Margaret Mary Wendelin. He is survived by: his wife Joan Holthaus Hatfield; his sons, Thomas Joseph Hatfield (Sarah Hatfield) and Peter Gregory Hatfield (Tara Hatfield); his grandchildren, Charlotte Blake Hatfield, Brooks Joseph Hatfield, Olivia James Hatfield, Owen Mirko Hatfield, Adaleigh Marie Hatfield and Victoria Helena Hatfield; his sisters, Kathy Williams and Anita Oliver; and his children, George Williams, John Williams, Jennifer Levy, Steve Oliver, Chris Oliver, Heather Giotis (Oliver) and Sean Oliver.
