“I decided to write an addendum. I remember Ms. Kostelny inviting me to come to OC. We all stayed at the Francis Scott Key hotel. Another time, Ms. Kostelny and Sacha invited me to eat Thanksgiving Dinner at Sticky's ( aka Dave). We had the most phenomenal roast turkey and dressing. ( We ate all the leftovers and boy she was hot when she got home from work). I know the struggle now, as an RN myself. I used to stand before her walk in closet in envy of her wardrobe! She lives in our hearts.”

“Omg ! Yes Michelle is my BFF from hs and my mom was so funny lol She did get pissed when we are all the left over stuffing her bf made us lol She was a nurse just like Michelle lol And Michelle works the graveyard shift too ! Michelle thought my mom was cool cause she wasnt like most moms . And she always made that wonderful coffee from Kenya ! It kept us up all night one time lol”

“I met Ms. Kostelny for the first time after Sacha and I became besties in high school. She always said that one day she would take both of us to Omega. Ms. Kostelny was a RN and that meant that we could hang out with no supervision all evening. Mrs. Kostelny is the one who introduced me to Woody Allen, Vintage clothing stores, Pink Floyd, hippie skirts, Birkenstocks sandals and Patchouli. I have many good holiday memories. She will be missed and lives in our hearts.”

“Omg Michelle ! That ' s right ...those long flowing hippie Indian skirts and the patchouli ! My mother was very eclectic . She loved Pink Floyd and Santana . She did take me to the Omega Institute in Upstate NY when I was 19 years old . She was very creative and artistic . Definitely one of a kind . Michelle always preferred hanging out at my house than her own house lol Her parents were more traditional and Southern Baptist . Totally different ! Lol”

“Here's a funny story to share about my mother . I adoringly use to call her " mother Lou " ... I told my mother she got the nickname because Mother Lou ' s are different than regular mothers . They hate early mornings , stay up all night and sleep in , breakfast is a lit cigarette and a hot black cup of coffee ☕️ lol They cuss a lot hate cooking ( even tho they can ) and housework lol Mother Lou ! “It pains me to say that my mother and I had a very difficult acrimonious relationship most of my life . She suffered some mental health related issues that made it challenging. We did have some good times in between. I always loved her ❤️ She just never seemed to realize it . I always felt like she wanted me to be someone else . I hope she's at peace now 🙏”
