Zelda Johnson Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Zelda Johnson of Columbia, Maryland, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on August 5, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her former husband James Ellsworth Ward; her husband Stanley O. Johnson; her brothers, Prophet Robert Best, Sr. and Daniel Collins; and her siblings-in-law, Edward "Brad" Ward, Agatha Best and Lynn Brown.

She is survived by: her aunt Agnes Sutton (Brown) of Crisfield; her children, Robert Keith Brown (Janet) of North Carolina and Lakeisah Lynn Brown of Maryland; her grandchildren, Marcellus D. Bivens (Chrystal), Jerome Martin Jr. (Alexia), Robert K. Brown, Jr. (Rachel), Briana Martin, Damien Brown, Diamonique Brown, Denise Brown, Jabari Martin, Raaziq Martin, Katina Brown, Erica Denny and Jamir Epps; her great grandchildren, Nassir Bivens, NeMera Bivens, Judah Martin, Reyna Martin, Jonah Martin, Sarah Martin, Gabriel Brown and Carter Brown; her siblings, Armand Best, Barbara Hachandi, Lola Ward, Raymond Mapp, Jr. (Tommie), Myron Brown, Michael Brown and Marsha Brown; her sister-in-law Charmaine Collins; and her son-in-law Jerome Martin. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, other extended relatives and friends.
