She was predeceased by: her parents, James Goss and Lucy Blackburn Goss; her husband James M. May; her sons, James Douglas "Doug" Shepherd (Diane) and Daniel Melvin Shepherd; and her siblings, Wilmer "Bill" Hurley and Edna June Brooks (Sydnee Shepherd).
She is survived by: her daughter Donna Susan Toliver (Joe). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
