He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Julian Shaffer, Jr. and Mary Etta Whitby Shaffer. He is survived by: his wife Doris J. Shaffer of Cordova; his stepson Eric T. Knoedler (Tina) of Manheim, PA; and his sister Beverly L. Altvater (David) of Trappe, MD. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
