James A. Distler Obituary
We announce the death of James A. Distler (Cordova, Maryland), who passed away on July 19, 2026, at the age of 78. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frederick Charles Distler and Evelyn Tibbets; his siblings, Joan and Frederick; his wife Carolyn DeSales Whiteley; his children, Chuck, Nancy, Mary Allyn, Caitlyn and James; his grandchildren, Victoria, Joel, Opal, Chloe and Gavin; and his great grandchild Everlee. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
