He is survived by: his wife Cheron Denise Hargett; his sons, James and Joseph Hargett; his parents, James L. Hargett, Sr. and Rebecca A. Hargett; his brother Jacques Hargett (Shirley); his nephews, Zion and Brice Hargett; his sisters, Elizabeth Williamson (Wiley) and Chrystal Hargett; his niece Acceber Hargett; his nephews, Aston Hargett and Christian Williamson; and his cousins, Atoria and Felicia. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
He was also appointed as a ministerial servant during COVID.
