She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton "Ack" Adams and Ruby Mears Adams; her husband Benson E. "Tucker" Tawes; her siblings, Donald "Ack" Adams and Karen Elliott; and her brother-in-law Raymond Shanks.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff Tawes (Cindy Sayre Tawes) of Port Norris, NJ and Robbin D. Schultz (Jack) of Crisfield; her close friend Terry Crockett of Crisfield; her sister Jo Ellen Shanks of Crisfield; her grandchildren, John "Jay" Paro, III (Caitlyn) of Crisfield, Brittany Mineroff (Josh) of San Francisco, CA, Nicole Tawes of Colorado, Jacob Tawes of Port Norris, NJ, Ruby Tawes of Colorado, Troy Schultz (Nickie) of Forest Hill, MD and Wendy Perdue of Belcamp, MD; her great grandchildren, Maddox Miller of Crisfield, Carson, Cole, Cameron Schultz of Forest Hill, MD, Hunter, Alec Perdue of Belcamp, MD, Toby and Kaley Mineroff of San Francisco, CA; and her brother-in-law Vernon Tawes (Irmgard) of Princess Anne. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home (306 W Main St, Crisfield, MD 21817). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
