He was predeceased by : his parents, Mildred Heights (Demarr) and James Robert Wilkerson; his sister Clara M. Harper (Frank); and his brother-in-law James Coulby. He is survived by : his wife Christine Wilkerson (Atchison); his children, Wayne Atchison (Samantha), James "Bobby" Wilkerson, III (Diana), Farrah Wilkerson and Pamela Wilkerson; his grandchildren, Tyler Wilkerson, Tiara Pickeral of Javon, Da'Quan Wheeler, Tre'Yon Wheeler, William Wilkerson, Libby Wilkerson and Ry'Kyah Wheeler; and his sister Elizabeth "Betty" A. Coulby.
