She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom Sterling and Mabel Holland Sterling; her husband Howard Lee Riggin; and her brother George E. "Junie" Marshall, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Jane Ernst of Crisfield, Lee Ann Flaherty (Steve) of Crisfield, Lisa Owens (Arzie) of Greenville, SC and April Riggin Tyler (Darrell) of Marion Station; her brother David Sterling of Portsmouth, VA; and her grandchildren, Annie Covington (Gordon), Elizabeth "Liz" David (Josh), Teage Ernst (Megan), Courtney Hurley (Rob), Brooks Flaherty, Chad Owens (Kelly), Katie Crosby (Bruce), Adrienne Tyler and Brett Tyler. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Asbury U. M. Church Memorial Fund.
