It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lewis Henry Blackwell of Crisfield, Maryland, who passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis R. Blackwell and Effie Conston Toulson; his sister Mary Thompson; and his nephew David Thompson. He is survived by: his children, Monfredia Bailey (Jerry) of Evans, GA, Teniah Reynolds of Elgin, SC, Keiko Blackwell of Upper Marlboro, MD and Christopher Johnson (Antianette) of Sumpter, SC; his grandchildren, Jerry (Shamiria), Aaron, Taliah, Takiya, Taniya, Christopher Jr., Jah'nia, Chris'jen and Mason; his sister Maefield Blow; his goddaughter Gwen Brown (Larenza); and his nieces and nephews, Marie, John (Marla), Earnest, Shirley, Beulah, Thomas (Patricia) and Kevin (Sharonda). He is also survived by grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, godchildren, and friends.
