He is survived by: his father John Cleveland Carey, II of Crisfield; his daughter Catherine Elizabeth "Bizzy" Carey Erving (Steven Erving, II) of Willards; his grandchildren, Lyam Erving, Sean Erving and Chase Erving; his aunts, Barbara Underwood, Suzanne and Sharon Dashiell; and his uncle Don Ford. He is also survived by cousins and life-long friends.
