Thekla Kaplan Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elwath Tawes and Katherine "Kate" Olsson Tawes; and her husband Robert William "Bob" Kaplan. She is survived by: her children, Catherine Kaplan of Lusby, MD, Robert L. "Robbie" Kaplan of Crisfield and William J. Kaplan (Jenn) of Crisfield; her siblings, Scott Tawes (Melanie) of Princess Anne and Mindy Hood (Dave) of Crisfield; her grandchildren, Andrew Washabaugh, Douglas Josh Thomas (Ashley), Stephen Washabaugh (Diana) and Aiden Cole Kaplan; her great grandchildren, Isabella, Jemma, Trevor, Maddox, Malia, Margot Washabaugh and Memphis Thomas; her cousin Peg Orr; her caregiver Lottie Matthews of Crisfield; and her close friends, Carol Hall of Crisfield and Bobbie Vaughn of Clinton, MD. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, very close cousins, and her church family.
