She is survived by: her husband James V. Whalen Sr. of Crumpton, MD; her children, John Thomas Whalen Sr. of Markus Hook, PA, Jesse S. Whalen Jr. of Crumpton, MD, Charles Harrrison of New Hampshire and Nancy Whalen Swider of Sandy; and her sisters, Ella Baker of Dover, DE and Mattie Supers of Sudlersville, MD. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
