He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Calvin David Singleton and Genevieve Marie Singleton; wife: Dorothy Lee Singleton; brothers: Ralph Lee, Frederick Allen, Teddy Junior, and Gerald Steven; sister: Goldie Marie Singleton; children: Gregory (Peggy), Lee (Sherri), Elizabeth (Dwight), and Sherilene; in-laws (parents of spouse): Howard and Elizabeth Grimm; sisters-in-law: Shirely Singleton and Wanda Singleton; half-siblings: Catherine, Sandra, Mary, Linda, and Daniel (and the late Ronald); grandparents: Benjamin Y. S. Teeter and Emily Catherine Teeter; cousins: Frank Teeter and Eugene Teeter; friends: Jim Christiansen and Davey Martin; other: Chick and Dot, Jane and Milton, Ella and Leroy, Ruth and Bud, Mary and Will, Mae and Ray, Tanya Madison, Clark Sievers, Andy and Samantha Singleton, Anna Via, Amandra Shrout, and Reverend Milton Morris; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Adams Family Funeral Home (404 Decatur St, Cumberland, MD 21502). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the American Legion Post 13 of Cumberland, MD (206 E Harrison St #208, Cumberland, MD 21502).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a gift to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
