She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Howard Couter and Greta Mae Couter (Hicks). She is survived by: her husband Charles "Charlie" Hammersmith; her children, Heather Hammersmith and Jason Hammersmith (Amanda); her grandchildren, Clayton and Garet Livengood; and her sisters, Diane Pryor (Rick), Beverly Dean (William) and Amy Biddle (Richard). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and several close friends.
