With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Sann of Cumberland, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 19, 2025 at the age of 69. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hetzel Lewis and Beatrice Lewis (Montgomery); and her sisters, Carolyn Smith and Brenda Giles. She is survived by: her children, John, Amy Pownall of Falling Waters, WV, Christina Goddard (Greg Dolly) of Cumberland, MD and Eric Pownall of Cumberland, MD; her grandchildren, Alexander Pownall, Nicholas Pownall, Keleigh Pownall and Zoe Goddard; her great grandchild John Aaron Pownall; her siblings, Robert (Joyce Lewis), Ronnie (Lynette Lewis), Randy Lewis of Romney, WV, Cheryl Goetz of Shanks, WV and Cathy (Dick Riggleman); and her friend Sam Shook. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
