He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Louise (Geller) and Merle Frederick Diehl; his brothers, Edward Diehl and Harve Diehl; and his son-in-law Gary Mowery.
He is survived by: his wife Freda Ann Diehl (Robinson); his daughters, Sherry Mowery and Carol Diehl; his grandchildren, Jessica Baer (Curtis) and Steven Mowery; and his great grandchild Michael Baer. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
