It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ella Ruth Mangus (Cumberland, Maryland), who passed away on July 25, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Ella Ruth shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Ella Ruth farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George William Carlheim and June Aurora Carlheim (Oster); her husband Ronald Mangus; her brother Glenn Carlheim; her daughter-in-law Karla Steele; and her brother-in-law Howard Dickerhoof.
She is survived by: her son William "Bill" Steele; her grandson Ivan Steele (Nicky); her great grandchildren, Rebecca and Evan Steele; and her sister Jane Dickerhoof.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Adams Family Funeral Home (404 Decatur St, Cumberland, MD 21502). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
