He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kerns and Helen DeVault; his siblings, Dorothy "Dottie" Clingerman, Judy Matthews and Richard "Dickie" Kerns; and his granddaughter Samantha Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kerns; his sister Heidi Bridges; his children, Christina Frost (David), Joseph "Joey" Kerns, Heidi Kuehn, Holly Stoever and Victor Gibson (Julia); his grandchildren, Alexandria Kerns, Jada Hott, Ivy Kerns, Anjewel Newcomb, Franky James, Taylor James, Sophia Damon, Jensen Frost, Ashley Kuehn, Philip Kuehn, Andrea, Zachary, Roo, Johnathon, Annabelle, Zachariah Stoever and Cecilia Stoever; his nephew Harry Shanholtz; and his close friends, Roy "Junior" and Stan.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Scarpelli Funeral Home (108 Virginia Ave, Cumberland, MD 21502). A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
