He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Swift and Beatrice Swift (Smith); his children, Denise Carol Rippenhagen and Donn Charles Swift; his stepdaughter Kelly Bischoff; and his sister-in-law Laurie Swift.

He is survived by : his wife Paula Swift (Talley); his son David C. Swift (Kathleen) of Sicklerville, NJ; his daughter-in-law Cheryl Swift of Newark, DE; his stepson Kirk Bischoff of Canandaigua, NY; his siblings, Judy Short of Cambridge, NY and Richard Swift of Aiken, SC; his grandchildren, Melanie, Abigail, Hannah, Eric, Kyle and Kristopher; and his great grandchildren, Sage, Olive and Milo. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
