With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ida Mae VanMeter of Cumberland, Maryland, born in Lonaconing, Maryland, who passed away on November 10, 2022 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Cameron and Sara Mae Cameron (Meyers); her husband James B. VanMeter, Sr.; and her sister Willa Loibel. She is survived by: her sons, James B. VanMeter, Jr. (Debora), William L. VanMeter, Sr. (Tina) and Michael L. VanMeter (Tanya); her brother Lester Cameron (Denese); her grandchildren, Shaun B. VanMeter (Brandy), Jamie R. VanMeter, Justin W. VanMeter, Kristina M. VanMeter, William L. VanMeter, Jr. (Carissa), Matthew Dunnington (Priscilla) and Destiny S. VanMeter; and her great grandchildren, Ava, Ellyana, Elayna, Jaylynn, Bryson, Brantley, Kaden, Victor, Clayton and Isabella.
The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX, 75284-0692.
