James Frederick O'Neal Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Frederick O'Neal (Cumberland, Maryland), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 10, 2026 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Alvey and Mary Ruth O'Neal (Little); and his brother Robert O'Neal. He is survived by: his wife Linda Catherine O'Neal (Walton); his children, Kimberly Price (Michael), Marci Mitchell (Tim), Jimmy O'Neal Jr. (Amy) and John O'Neal (Sarah); his grandchildren, Cameron, Kelsey, Emma, Lindsey, Neal, Derek (Kaili), Katelyn and Stephanie (Frank); and his great grandchildren, Felix and Shiloh. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
In honor of Jim's lifelong commitment to the youth of our community and his alma mater, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Allegany High School in his name, 900 Seton Drive, Cumberland, MD 21502.
