He was predeceased by: his parents, George James and Helen Virginia Thomas (Short); and his wife Margaret Diane Thomas. He is survived by: his children, J. Troy Thomas (Debbie), J. Bradford Thomas (Beth), Ryan M. Thomas (Marcia) and Jill Mazzeo (Lou); his grandchildren, Madeline E. "Maddie" Pelin (Scott), Katherine M. "Katy" Mills (Greyson), Taylor B. Wendt, Nicholas S. Mazzeo (Rachel), Haley K. Wendt, Claire E. Thomas, Kathryn T. "Kate" Thomas, Dominic J. "Dom" Mazzeo, Lauren Diane Thomas, Matthew M. Thomas and Mary Grace "Gigi" Thomas; and his great grandchildren, Ada Grey Mills and Emerson Margaret Pelin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
