She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Burke and Bessie Burke-Magruder (Wilder); and her siblings, Pauline Miller, Erma Lee Burgess and Doyle "Sonny" Burke.
She is survived by: her daughter Rochelle Thompson (Jeff Merson); her grandchildren, Daniel and Lindsey Thompson; her great grandchildren, Andrew and Theodore Thompson; and her sister Bernice Morrisey.
She was an active member at Cornerstone Baptist Church where she was involved in their Bible Classes, and was a long-time volunteer at Sacred Heart Hospital, then UPMC Western Maryland up until covid.
