He was predeceased by: his brother Carson Sommerlatt; and his father Darrell Sommerlatt. He is survived by: his mother Peggy Verner; his stepfather Rob Verner; his brother Darrell II; his sister-in-law Amy Sommerlatt; his sibling's children, Skyler and Hazel; and his partner's child Brighton Beachy.

Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Adams Family Funeral Home (404 Decatur St, Cumberland, MD 21502). A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Greater Cumberland (211 S Lee St, Cumberland, MD 21502).
