He is survived by: his wife Becky Ackerson; his daughter Johna Rae Whetstone (Matt); his grandchildren, Heinrich Hinkle, Lars Hinkle and Carmen Whetstone; and his great grandchild Luna Hinkle. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
