He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnie Olin McCoy, Sr. and Thelma E. Iser (McKenzie); his son Jesse Olin McCoy; his niece Jackie Marie Walters; and his stepfather Jim Iser.
He is survived by: his stepmother Betty McCoy; his brothers, Clifton McCoy and Michael McCoy (Karen); his granddaughter Jillian McCoy; and his close friends, Bonnie and Jeff Clark.
