He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Scarpelli and Mildred Scarpelli (Licciardone); his sisters, Carmel Scarpelli and Rose Coburn; and his former wife Judy Scarpelli (Bramble).
He is survived by: his wife Karen Scarpelli (Duby); his daughters, Patricia Robertazza and Jodi Squires (Matt); his stepson Brett Gross, Sr. (Alona); his grandchildren, Joshua Squires (Danielle), Hanna Digon (Simon), Victor Robertazza (Jess Routzahn), Elizabeth Robertazza, Chelsea Sampson (Johnny), Damica Robinson (Issac) and Brett Gross, Jr.; and his sister Mary Black Middletown.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 6th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (44 E Main St, Frostburg, MD 21532).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in his name to the American Kidney Fund, Inc., 11921 Rockville Pike, Ste 300, Rockville, MD 20852 or the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
