She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Matthews and Thelma J. Matthews (Morris); her son Steven Ray Skidmore; and her sister Bobbi J. Matthews. She is survived by: her husband George Thomas; her daughters, Angel Louise Thomas and Stephanie Shade (Louie); her grandchildren, Brice, Malia Shade and Glendon "AJ" Henry Courtney, IV; and her brothers, Ronnie Matthews and Billy Matthews. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
