With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lynda Elaine Garlitz of Cumberland, Maryland, who passed away on May 30, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Bartch and Dolores Bartch (Tyson); her son Scott Garlitz; and her sister Dolores McKenzie. She is survived by: her husband Carl William Garlitz, Sr.; her sons, Carl W. Garlitz, Jr. (Stephanie Palmer-Garlitz) of Decatur, IL, William B. Garlitz of Cumberland and Gregory W. Garlitz of Cumberland; her siblings, Edward Bartch and Regina Krebbs of Baltimore, MD; her grandchildren, Britton Garlitz, Owen Garlitz, Morgan Garlitz-Smith, Alexis Garlitz, Ashley Garlitz and Zachary Garlitz; and her great grandchildren, Lilie, Niko, Harlyn, Ava, Beau, Jr. and Memphis.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Newman Funeral Homes (179 Miller St, Grantsville, MD 21536). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Ann Church (12814 New Germany Rd, Grantsville, MD 21536).
