He was predeceased by: his parents, Coren Ruth Kratzer Riggs and Lester Merlin Riggs. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Nixon Riggs (Hillegas); his pets, Sadie, Blaze, Star, Huck, Harmony, Cinder, Pumpkin, Sabrina and Simba; his stepfather Dale Hillegas; his sister Sherri Schaidt; his nephew Hunter Schaidt; his sister-in-law Barbie Nixon; his nieces, Caleigh Shade and Ella Shade; and his mother-in-law Dottie Nixon.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Hillcrest.
