She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Burr Shirley and Alice Ethel Shirley (Myers); her husband Wilbur Elmer Shank; and her siblings, James Shirley and Beverly Jean Long.
She is survived by: her daughter Judy Abbott (Edward); her granddaughter Heather Deurr (Dana); her great grandchild Taylor Robison; and her brothers, Vernon Shirley (Charlotte) and Donald Shirley. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in her name to the Allegany County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 566 Cumberland MD 21502-0566.
