He was predeceased by: his parents, Winfield S. Zimmerly and Stella Zimmerly-Decker (Grady); his sister Catherine German; and his stepfather Carl F. Decker. He is survived by: his grandson Zach; his wife Joyce Zimmerly; his son Brad Zimmerly (Carla); his grandchildren, Zachary Scott Zimmerly of Pittsburgh, PA and Zayla Rachelle Zimmerly of Pittsburgh, PA; and his sibling's children, William Brian German of Easton, MD, David Lynn Ogden of Cresaptown, Tonya Ogden VanMeter of Cresaptown and Peter Douglas Ogden of Colorado.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Scarpelli Funeral Home (15205 McMullen Hwy SW, Cresaptown, MD 21502). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
