We are sad to announce that, on September 12, 2025, at the age of 91, Sherrell Virginia Wharton of Cumberland, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Parsons and Rosella Brinkman (Keefer); her husband Harry Melvin Wharton; her brother Joseph Parsons; and her nephew Mike Kegg.
She is survived by: her daughter Diane Katz (Tracy); her grandsons, Aaron Katz and Dan Katz; her brothers, Ed Parsons (Pat) and Rich Parsons (Dreama); and her nephews, Mark Parsons, Dale Parsons (Tammy), Steve Parsons and Steve Wharton (Rosemary).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in her name to: Christ United Methodist Church, 336 Race Street, Cumberland, MD 21502.
