Shirley left this world on October 11, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Lucas Livengood, Sr. and Julia Grace Livengood (McCreary); her brothers, Russell L. Livengood, Jr. (Doris) and Ronald E. Livengood (Patricia); and her nephew Eric Livengood.
She is survived by: her daughter Karen Sue Irons (Bruce); her grandsons, Jeremy Irons (Meredith) and Jonathan Irons (Alyssa); her great grandchildren, Dylan, Adalynn, Bryson and Brennan Irons; her sibling's children, Carole Livengood, Sandy Armstrong (Bill), Dr. John Livengood and Mark Livengood (Kathy); and her friend Tom Woods.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Adams Family Funeral Home (404 Decatur St, Cumberland, MD 21502). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Shirley's name to the Union Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 1614, Cumberland, MD, or to the First Baptist Church, 212 Bedford Street, Cumberland, MD 21502.
