It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Virginia Lee Townsend of Cumberland, Maryland, who passed away on May 5, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hendershot and Doris Hendershot (Stevenson); her son Dallas Townsend; her grandchildren, Cody and Harley Townsend; and her siblings, Rodney Hendershot, Robert Hendershot and Debbie Fisher.
She is survived by: her husband Billie D. Townsend; her children, Dustin Townsend (Shay), Melissa Miller (Tom), Shawn Townsend, Kari Young (Scott), Barry Townsend (Casey) and Amber Baer (Michael); her siblings, Michael Hendershot (Barbara) and Darla Shaw (Aaron); and her siblings-in-law, Patricia Beal and Michael Townsend. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren and another great-grandchild.
In lieu of sending flowers, the family request that their family and friends who would like to honor Ginny contribute to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Mission Fund.
