He was predeceased by: his parents, George Samuel Benson, Sr. and Mary Emma Benson (DeLozier); and his brothers, Michael and Terry Benson. He is survived by: his wife Dawn Benson; his sons, Shawn Browning (Autumn), Jeremy Benson (Allyson) and Tanner Benson (Samantha); his grandchildren, Kaleb, Jacob "JJ" and Alyssa "Ally"; and his brother Sam Benson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
