He was predeceased by: his parents, Lindsay Jennings Payne and Evelyn "Abbie" Callahan Payne; and his brothers, Tommy, Jeff and Edward Frankenburger.
He is survived by: his wife Kelley; his children, Lindsay and Hunter; his grandchildren, Emma and Vincent; and his brother Dale Payne (Barbara). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Children's.
