Dexter Lei Moberly Obituary

Dexter Lei Moberly, known affectionately as Dee/Dex to his family and friends, passed away unexpectedly on October 13, 2025, at the age of 34 in Damascus, MD. He was born on June 16, 1991, in Silver Spring, Maryland, to Robin Duley and Richard Moberly. His untimely departure has left a void in the hearts of many.

Robin holds dear the precious memories of her son, which now remain her greatest comfort - moments of love and happiness.

Dexter's bond with his sister, Melanie Johnson, was one of deep affection and mutual respect. Their shared memories will continue to be a source of comfort to Melanie as she remembers her brother with love.

Dexter's presence will be profoundly missed by his uncle Tony (Francine) Duley, aunt Wendy (Brian) Perini, and cousins Aubrey (Katie) Duley, Samantha (Stephen) Nagel, Dustin Perini, and Cameron Duley. Each of them held a special place in Dexter's heart, and he in theirs.

A devoted pet parent, Dexter's beloved husky mix, Buster, was the highlight of his day. Their adventures together were moments of joy. Buster's loyal companionship was a testament to Dexter's loving and caring spirit.

Dexter's legacy is one of love, laughter, and adventure. His ability to light up a room with his humor and desire to have a good time will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. As we say goodbye to Dexter, we celebrate the time we had with him and the indelible mark he left on our lives. May he rest in peace.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
